Jeff Matity (B. Sc, B. Ed) wears many hats in the fishing industry. Professionally, he works for the Saskatchewan Fish Hatchery and previously worked as a Contract Biologist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
Jeff is a professional guide, logging time on Last Mountain and Wollaston Lakes, both world- class fisheries, in Saskatchewan. Jeff has successfully pulled giant lake trout and pike from waters in Saskatchewan's north, to bass and crappies in southern Florida, to Yellowfin tuna in Mexico.
Jeff's passion and experience as an Educator and outdoor writer have guided his entire adult life. Jeff demonstrates credentials as a published scientist and academic consultant. A prolific writer, Jeff frequently contributes to articles in In-Fisherman, Just Fishing and Outdoor Canada magazines. Jeff also enjoys speaking at outdoor events, teaching Learn to Fish courses for SaskParks and, for the last decade, performing seminars for Cabela's Canada with brother, Jason. A personal highlight for Jeff was ice fishing with In- Fisherman, Editor-in-Chief, Doug Stange and catching a 13-pound walleye while filming for In-Fisherman TV with Doug.
